SAS Nagar: Anee's School at Kharar and SAS Nagar celebrated Diwali. Students instead of bursting crackers adopted innovative means to decorate earthen wares and candles.
These were later exhibited on the school campus and sold to the parents.
The unsold articles were purchased by the management.
The money collected at the exhibition would be spent to help underprivileged people. Besides , the students pledged not to burst fireworks in future to save the environment from pollution.
Aneet Goyal, Chairman of the school, said, " Diwali is sign of triumph of good over the evil. It teaches us to be good so we should burn the ill inside us to celebrate Diwali."
